Jupiter Hematology & Oncology Foundation
The JHO Foundation is a Florida non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors drawn
from the community and managed by a president, executive director, dedicated staff and
volunteers. The mission of JHOF is to advance the knowledge of blood disorders and cancer in
our community in the area of prevention, education, diagnosis, treatment and research. The
specific goals within blood disorders and cancer are: 1) Lead prevention 2) Promote education
3) Facilitate early diagnosis 4) Encourage treatment 5) Support research. The JHO Foundation
will be active in the main area of blood disorders and cancer issues in the community in
collaboration with local healthcare institutions.
The JHO Foundation will sponsor, organize and conduct educational programs for healthcare
professionals and the general public; provide genetic screening and counseling to cancer
patients and their families to identify hereditary malignancy / cancer familial syndrome; support
blood disorders and cancer patients with financial guidance and / or assistance; and provide
financial support, scientific advise and operational support to other organizations for blood
disorders and cancer-related activities. The JHO Foundation will collaborate with local and
national healthcare institutions in our community who are committed to our mission and scope
of interest.
The Board is comprised of experienced and well respected: hematologists & oncologists, a
gynecologist oncologist, infectious disease consultants, a senior oncology nurse, passionate
business leaders and individuals active in our community. Currently, the JHO Foundation has
two boards – the governing board and the scientific advisory board. The JHOF foundation has
contracted state of the art accounting, tax, financial and legal counseling to allow a flawless
start up, continuous development and sustainability for the future of the organization.
The JHO Foundation will rely on the generous and continuous support of individuals and
organizations to meet its goal of improving the lives of patient suffering from cancer, blood
disorders patients and their families and to continue its activities and future endeavors. The
JHO Foundation welcomes support of all types including grants, gifts, restricted and
unrestricted contributions and in-kind contributions.
